The Dark Arts – The Football League Tackle Edition

We’re getting ever closer to the start of the Premier League season but the Football League is already underway. It’s a good warm up, there’s already been some crunching tackles and lessons to be learnt, this is how not to tackle. Watch and learn, my friends.

Now moving a little further afield, we’re a little late with this one and in all probability you’ve seen it already. It is however always worth showing for those that haven’t. The dive is ridiculous and what’s worse is that the referee has a clear view but doesn’t produce a card for it. He should be as embarrassed as Wisgerhof!

Not as sublime as Wisgerhof’s pityful dive but Luiz Adriano deserves his place here too. Adriano has clearly been studying the masterful Rivaldo because he certainly makes the most of very little contact, fortunately, the referee didn’t fall for it though! A step in the right direction.
